Life on the Water

For generations a community has flourished on the waters of Halong Bay. Building houses on floating platforms and living on the bounty of the sea, those that live here rarely need to visit the mainland.

Largest Village

Cua Van is the largest village on the bay with about 130 floating houses and a population of about 600 people. This settlement is unique as it is the only floating village with a primary school and a clinic. You will be captivated by this extraordinary community and its distinctive way of life.
