Buddhist Statues

Start the day with a boat ride along the majestic Mekong enjoying the natural scenery and watching the local fishermen. You’ll arrive at the sacred Pak Ou Caves to discover hundreds of miniature wooden statues with many decorated in gold lacquer. The sculptures are in many different poses which represent the characteristic postures of Buddha.

Silk Village

On your return journey, you’ll visit the colourful village of Ban Xang Khong which is known for silk weaving and dyeing. Here, you’ll learn about the manufacturing processes and take the opportunity to purchase locally-made products.
