One of the Seven Wonders of the World and one of the greatest engineering triumphs on Earth, The Great Wall is China’s most iconic sight.

Engineering Triumph

No visit to China would be complete without a walk along the Great Wall. This vast structure – originally built as an impenetrable line of defence- stretches for thousands of miles and was started over 2,000 years ago. Over the years it has been restored and the stone and brick construction you see today dates back to the 14th-century Ming Dynasty.

Breath-taking scenery

Climbing the wall is like ascending a giant stone staircase and you have flexibility as to how far you may walk. As you rise, the views of the surrounding mountains become ever more impressive.
